Diplomat: Biden and Clinton will lead Balkans policy

US President Barack Obama will put Kosovo and the Balkans in the background letting Vice-president Joe Bidden and State Secretary Hillary Clinton to lead Balkan policy, James Hooper, a former American diplomat told Radio Freed Europe.

According to him, "this is very good news, considering the fact that Biden knows the Balkans extremely well." Biden is a "stable personality, honest and balanced," who understands the region well "and is ready to take a harsher stance," said Hooper.

Speaking about State Secretary Hillary Clinton, Hooper said that she will never "devalue the war of her husband, President Clinton."

"All this I think is good for Kosovo and good for the Balkans, for the fact that there will be people that have a lot of knowledge about the region, who will have leading role," stated Hooper.

Lawsuit filed claiming Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is constitutionally ineligible to serve

There were serious questions about the constitutional eligibility of Hillary Clinton to serve as secretary of State. Lawsuit filed claiming Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is constitutionally ineligible to serve. The issue arises from the Secretary of States salary having been raised during Hillary Clinton's term in the Senate. The Constitution forbids members of the Senate from being appointed to civil office, such as the Secretary of State, if the "emoluments," or salary and benefits, of the office were increased during the Senator's term. This clearly occurred. Congress tried to do an end run around the Constitution by lowering the Secretary of States salary. This does not change the historical fact that the salary of the Secretary of State was raised three times during Hillary Clinton's tenure as a Senator from New York. This case will eventually end up at the Supreme Court.

I found this quote particularly hilarious:

"(Biden) is a stable personality, honest and balanced"

Also, what Balkan policy? I didn't know there was one.

The Balkan Policy is the one that was championed by Bill Clinton (you remember, the guy you Slavs love to hate), and involved the Dayton Peace Accords.

It was extended to support an independent Kosova (which Obama/Biden support) and currently remains as a means to promote Euro-Atlantic integration in the region.

Now you know.

Well, the U.S already formally recognized Kosovo as an independent state, Bosnia doesn't need help from the U.S, and U.S involvement in the region is nascent at best.
